VACANCY AT LAWTON MEMORIAL HALL
Pay: £11.63 to £12.73 an hour depending upon experience (currently under negotiation and due to increase).
Hours: A minimum of 7.5 hours a week worked flexibly to suit both the Memorial Hall and job holder. Hours may sometimes exceed 7.5 and will be paid as overtime. There will be occasional weekend and evening work. Note – the contracted hours will require to be broken up through the week.
Place of Work: The role is predominantly working from home but some attendance at Lawton Memorial Hall will be required.
Responsible to: Lawton Memorial Hall Trustee (Line manager – Parish Council Clerk)
Equipment provided: Laptop, printer and mobile phone (which remain the property of Lawton Memorial Hall).
Lawton Memorial Hall Trust is seeking to employ an administration assistant to help run our fantastic community venue. We are looking for a ‘can do’ attitude, excellent communication skills and IT proficiency and a person who enjoys a job with lots of variety. Exceelent communication skills and IT proficiency are essential.
The Memorial Hall, a registered charity, is situated in the heart of Church Lawton and provides a venue for community events and activities. The hall is run by a team of volunteers through an operating committee and fundraising committee.
The job holder will be employed by Church Lawton Parish Council, who are the sole trustee, and will be primarily responsible for managing the hall bookings but will also get involved with event organisation and promotion. The ideal candidate will be innovative and will enjoy working with the volunteers and participating in putting together an itinerary of community and fundraising events.
