Statement from the Church Lawton Parish Council
Church Lawton Councillors are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and would like to express our sincere condolences to the Royal Family.
A Book of Condolence has been opened and will be available during the period of mourning at All Saints Church during the hours 8.00am to 7.30pm each day. Councillor Mitchell, Chairman of Church Lawton Parish Council, has signed the book on behalf of the council and thanked Her Majesty for her extraordinary life of service to our country, the Commonwealth and its people.
Floral tributes can be made by the church tower at All Saints. Flowers should be unwrapped and not left in cellophane, and any wrapping should be disposed of responsibly. Flowers will be removed on the morning after the Funeral and we will arrange for them to be composted and the compost used to plant a commemorative tree.
