Co-option of two Councillors

At its meeting of the 7th February 2024, Church Lawton Parish Council co-opted two new members onto the Council. The Council would like to welcome Cllr R Young, who is returning to us, and Cllr M Whittle.

The Parish Council is still carrying two vacancies and would love to hear from anyone who would like to join us:

Are you passionate about your community? Do you want to help make a long-lasting change? Do you have innovative ideas for the council? Do you have concerns about a specific issue and want to do something about it? If this is you, then we need you. We need people from all backgrounds and experiences who reflect their community to put themselves forward for co-option. Make a change and become a councillor.

WHAT DO LOCAL COUNCILS DO?

Church Lawton Parish Council consists of ten councillors seats and has responsibility for the wellbeing of your local community. Their work falls into three main categories:
• Delivery of services
• Improve quality of life for residents
• Give communities a democratic voice

We ask anyone who is interested in joining us to email the Clerk with an expression of interest by Friday, 8th March 2024.
