I moved with my husband Ken to Church Lawton back in 1986. Our 2 sons (now aged 33 and 29) were both born and raised here in Church Lawton and attended schools in Alsager.
As a founder member of Crewe and Nantwich Rotaract Club back in 1977, I have always undertaken voluntary work, and as our sons grew up, I was a PTA member of both schools, volunteer at Beavers and cubs, registered chaperone in both Cheshire and Staffordshire and even under 18s Manager at Sandbach Football Club! I have also worked over Christmas with the Homeless and volunteer at a local ‘Youth Club for the over 65s’ and also am a committee member of the Lawton Memorial Hall.
I have recently retired from the HE sector and I have now joined the local Parish Council as I wish to make my area a better place to live and hopefully will be concentrating on the Community area of their remit.
