Not native to these parts, I was born in Walthamstow, London. When I was three went out to East Africa as my father took a job with the East African Post Office. I then came back to boarding school in Blackpool and Ormskirk in Lancashire.
My wife Bev and I moved into the parish in October 1986. We raised our two boys here and they have now fled the nest to Brentford and Verbier, Switzerland. In my career I have been an Accountant, a Salesman and an Engineer and I retired from my role as an Account Manager at the end of May 2021.
Both my wife and I became councillors in October 2021. We are very proud to be Parish Councillors at last, and now able to put something back into the community.
